SHOOTER RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES.

The Shooter has certain responsibilities throughout the ISSF Anti-Doping Regulations and specifically within the doping control procedures and the submission of whereabouts information. 

The Shooter shall:

• submit timely and accurate whereabouts information.
• ensure he/she is aware of, and complies with, the doping control rules of the shooting sport at a national and international level;
• comply with the sample collection procedures;
• remain in sight of the Doping Control Officer and/or Doping Control Chaperone at all times from the first moment of in-person notification by the DCO/Chaperone until the completion of the sample collection procedure;
• report to the doping control station within the times specified when notified for testing;
• produce valid identification;
• retain control of his/her urine sample until it is securely sealed;
• ensure his/her sample is securely sealed and identified; and
• ensure that all documentation is accurate, complete and signed;

 

Any Shooter selected for doping control has the following rights:

• They are allowed to have one representative of their choice accompany them throughout doping control. Their representative cannot be an accredited member of the media.
• They are allowed to have an interpreter (if available).
• They are to be provided with a selection of doping control equipment to choose from.

They can request that the procedures be fully and properly explained.
