The deadline for the participation of  this year's ISSF "C" Coaching Course has been extended to 1 June 2012.

The course will be taking place in Kuortane, Finland from 29 October to 5 November 2012.

The International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) has sent invitations to all ISSF Member Federations regarding the 16th ISSF “C” Coaching Course.

If you are interested in taking part in this course, please contact your federation for more information. The registration deadline is Tuesday, 1^st May 2012. Make sure you register soon as places are subject to availability. For more information about the  course, please click here.

The ISSF and the ISSF Training Academy is pleased to announce the launch of the Academy’s new e-Learning platform. The new platform is hosted online at www.issf-academy.com and marks the latest in a series of educational initiatives from the Academy.

Following on from the success of the Academy’s “D”Course for regional coaches, the appetite for coach education has grown steadily amongst member federations. The e-Learning platform now represents an ideal vehicle to conduct distance learning for coaches while providing a platform to aid coaches in taking their ISSF Coaches licenses.

The Academy launches the e-Learning initiative with a new “Fundamentals” series of courses designed to provide a basic foundation in Rifle, Pistol and Clay Target shooting. The courses are provided free to view, with no registration required, in an effort to promote the basics of our sport to as wide a community as possible.

We herewith like to remind you that ISSF sent out invitations for the IOC/ISSF National Training System Development Project 2011/2012 in Kuortane, Finland and there is still the possibility to nominate your candidates for this project!

Participation is free of charge but only a maximum of 20 persons will be accepted. This project tries to help our national shooting federations to improve their training system and we hope that many countries will participate. Applications should be sent to ISSF Headquarters as soon as possible but latest by the end of this week.

The ISSF Training Academy will be present during the ISSF World Cup in Munich, Germany which will take place from 16th - 23rd June 2011.

Together with the ISSF Shop and the ISSF/WADA Anti-Doping Booth we will be there for you! Come by to pick up some TA flyers and at the same time do an anti-doping quiz or buy the ISSF cap.

The ISSF is pleased to announce the launch of the IOC/ISSF National Training Systems Development Project. This two-year project has been developed in co-operation with the International Olympic Committee’s IF Development Programme and the ISSF Training Academy.

The project is conducted in two parts; each part is conducted over a calendar year using a mixture of distance learning combined with a four day residential project. Part I of the project will take place in the ISSF Accredited Training Centre in Kuortane, Finland from 27^th November until 2^nd December 2011.

Invitations have been sent out to all ISSF Member Federations. Applications can be sent to ISSF Headquarters by using the registration form attached to the invitation. The 15th "C" and 9th "B" Coaching Courses respectively to be held in November and December 2011 are fully booked. Participants from almost 20 countries will come together for these weeklong residential courses at the official Accredited Development Centre (ADC) of the ISSF in Kuortane, Finland. We wish all participants a successful preparation and look forward to seeing them in Finland!

There is still the possibility to sign up your coaches for the ISSF Coaching Courses "B" and "C". All relevant and important information regarding registration and participation can be found in the invitation letters which were sent in February 2011.

Coaches can be registered via the TA Online Entry System until Sunday, 1^st May 2011.

The 14th "C" Course for Coaches that took place in Kuortane, Finland from 3 - 10 December 2010 was a great success, despite some flight troubles due to walk-out activities and bad weather conditions. 26 participants from 20 countries have successfully participated in this course. A small impression can be found under 'Gallery' on the right-hand side.

Please note that information on the organization of the courses can still be found under ‘education programme’. In addition, registered coaches will have access to course-specific information and relevant material via the log-in button.
