The Republic of Korea's Lee Seungyeon, 18, won the Air Rifle and Air Pistol Mixed Junior Super Cup--an unofficial event which, yesterday, opened the 2nd ISSF Junior Cup in Suhl, Germany.

In the gold medal match, Lee, an air rifle shooter, beat India's Arjun Dan, a pistol shooter -- she won by 3-0 in a best-of-five final.

Instead of medals, athletes received money.

A prize of 500 euros went to first-placed Lee. Dan, the runner-up, won 300 euros.
India's Shriyanka Sadangi, an air rifle shooter, won the bronze medal match against Australia's Christopher Summerell, a pistol shooter.

Sadangi, 20, took third place with a score of 3-0. She won 200 euros.
The event hosted 92 athletes.

Shooters competed in two qualification rounds -- in the first, the eight best pistol and rifle shooters moved on to the second round. Then, the four best pistol and rifle shooters made the quarter-final round.

Pistol shooters competed directly against rifle shooters in the knockout stage.

A best-of-three format applied to the quarter-finals. Semifinals and medal events were best-of-five matches.
