A delegation of the Shooting Federation of the Islamic Republic of Iran visited the ISSF Headquarter in Munich, yesterday, meeting the ISSF Secretary General Franz Schreiber.
The meeting saw the presence of Dr. Seyed Mahdi Hashemi, President of the Shooting Federation of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mr. Ahmad R. H. Haghighat, Board Member, and Mr. Ahmad R. Maskayekh, Advisor of the President.
The agenda included the presentation of several development projects implemented by the Shooting Federation of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the fields of inclusion, participation, media and regulations.
Thanks for the development program, Iranian athletes recorded an high men and women participation in ISSF official events through the last Olympic cycle, and collected 5 Olympic Quota Places for Rio 2016 (compared to 0 quotas for London 2012).
The visit also intended to strength the cooperation with the ISSF Training Academy, the official sport development wing of the International Shooting Sports Federation established in 1992, that operates and conducts all of the ISSF’s courses for coaches and sport development.
