FITAV, the Italian shotgun federation, hosted the 34th ISSF Academy D-course for coaches, which took place at the Umbriaverde Sporting and Resort in Massa Martana from November 10th to November 13th.

The course was conducted by ISSF B-level coach Marco Micheli under the supervision of ISSF Head Instructor Dr. Zeljko Todorovic.

The ISSF Vice-President Mr. Luciano Rossi, also President of FITAV, spoke to the participants on the opening day of the course: “We are very proud to host a D-course for the third time in Italy, some coaches started just like you in the past years, and right now they are professional coaches working all around the world. Our federation firmly wants to carry on collaborating with the ISSF Academy to create the coaches of tomorrow.”

A total of 33 participants attended the course, as it focused on the Shotgun discipline and covered all the technical aspects of the shooting technique, planning, organization and physical training.

“I am very happy about the organization of this course and about how it’s been conducted by Marco, this confirms the high level of preparation of the ISSF Academy coaches,” Dr. Todorovic said at the end of the course.
