ISSF Academy returns to Iceland for Rifle and Pistol D-Course

A total of 27 participants took part in the course, which was held in Reykjavik (ISL) under the supervision of ISSF Head Instructor Zeljko Todorovic and ISSF A-level coach Goran Maksimovic.

The Icelandic Shooting Sports Federation, STI, hosted the 35th ISSF Academy D-course for pistol and rifle coaches. It took place in the headquarters of the National Olympic and Sports Association of Iceland in Reykjavik.

 

The course was conducted by ISSF Head Instructor Dr. Zeljko Todorovic and ISSF A-level coach Mr. Goran Maksimovic. Dr. Todorovic spoke highly of the organisers, “The STI have arranged an excellent course here in Reykjavik. The enthusiasm of the coaches was clearly visible and I believe they have all enjoyed and learned much from the course.”

 

A total of 27 participants from the Icelandic shooting clubs attended the course which covered all the technical aspects of the shooting technique, planning, organization and physical training.

 

Speaking of the work of the ISSF Academy, STI Secretary General Gudmundur Gislason said: “This is the second D-Course that we have organised and we are very pleased with these courses. Our coaches and shooters want to have the best coaching and shooting education that is available and we believe the ISSF Academy and its courses are perfect for this.”
