Among the ten Rifle/Pistol Shooting sport events, 25m Rapid Fire Pistol is surely the one with most established pack of favorites shooters.

France’s Jean Quiquampoix and Germany’s Christian Reitz are undoubtedly atop of the list, being the current number 2 and number 1 in the World Ranking, respectively. After climbing on the Rio 2016 podium together, where Reitz claimed the Gold and Quiquampoix won the Silver, the two shooters also secured a medal at last month’s World Cup stage in Munich, where the French 21-year-old pocketed his second Gold and the 30-year-old German placed 3rd.

Along with them, the 2016 Olympic Bronze medalist, People’s Republic of China’s Li Yuehong (27), who’s going to compete alongside teammates Pan Junchen (18) and Zhang Jian (31), Silver medalist at the previous World Cup stage in Munich.

Battling for a spot among the six finalists will also be Republic of Korea’s 26-year-old Kim Junhong, the current World Champion in this event, Quiquampoix’s teammate Clement Bessaguet (26), and the current holder of the World Record, Italy’s 33-year-old Riccardo Mazzetti.

The Azerbaijani flag will be born by 27-year-old Ruslan Lunev, who won his first international medal a few months ago, placing 3rd at the first World Cup stage of the season in New Delhi (IND).

The final is scheduled at 1:30 pm (UTC+4:00) and it will be live streamed on the ISSF official Facebook page, on issf-sports.org and on its Livestream channel.
