In concomitance with the ISSF Olympic test event in London, the ISSF meets for its General Assembly. Future championships, Youth Olympic Games and reports will be on the table for discussion.

The International Shooting Sport Federation’s family meets in London in occasion of the “London Prepares” ISSF World Cup, the Olympic test event taking place at the Royal Artillery Barracks (RAB).  London’s temporary Olympic shooting venue will indeed be the stage of an ISSF World Cup in all shooting events from the 17th through the 29th of April.

The 2012 ISSF General Assembly will be held at the Grange Tower Hotel in London, on April the 17th starting from 9.00 AM. The Assembly - the highest moment of the ISSF democratic life - takes place every two years, and will be guided by the ISSF President Olegario Vazquez Raña and by the ISSF Secretary General Franz Schreiber.

More than 200 delegates coming from 100 nations will join the meetings in London, to discuss and hear reports about the 2013 ISSF Shotgun World Championship in Lima (PER) and about the 2014 ISSF World Championship in all events in Granada (ESP). The 2014 Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing (CHN) will also be on the table, as the ISSF just launched two new mixed team events that will be included in the next YOG program. A new ISSF Constitution draft will also proposed and discussed during the meetings. Media willing to attend the ISSF General Assembly please contact the ISSF media office at marco@issf-sports.org .

Following the General Assembly, the focus will move on the ISSF World Cup in all events taking place at the RAB Olympic Venue in London. Fifteen events, in the disciplines of Rifle, Pistol and Shotgun shooting, will be conducted from the 17th to the 29th of April. The first medal match – the 10m Air Rifle Women Final – is scheduled to take place on April the 19th.
