The 2012 ISSF Shotgun World Cup in Lonato, Italy, kicked off today at the Trap Conca Verde shooting range, on the shores of the Garda Lake.
Over 500 shooters coming from 76 nations will participate in the competition. The third and last leg of this year’s ISSF World Cup Series for Shotgun events represents indeed the last chance to compete at world-level before the Olympic Games.
The President of the Italian shooting Federation, and ISSF Vice President, Mr. Luciano Rossi, welcomed the participants during an official ceremony held at the Trap Conca Verde shooting range today.
“We are proud to welcome more than 500 shooters on the layouts of this wonderful venue. We will try to offer the best possible competition conditions, and we wish you all success!” Mr. Rossi said.
The first final match, the Trap Women Final, will be held on Friday the 4th, scheduled at 16.45 (GMT+1).
