“Fort Benning: great finals and records” ISSF Vice-President Anderson said

The ISSF Vice-President and President of USA Shooting, Mr. Gary Anderson, officially closed the 2013 ISSF Rifle and Pistol World Cup in Fort Benning, GA, USA.

“This has been a successful competition, with great finals, and great results.” The ISSF Vice-President and President of USA Shooting, Mr. Gary Anderson said, while speaking at the closing of the second ISSF Rifle and Pistol World Cup Stage of the year, in Fort Benning, GA, USA.

“Several new World Record were achieved during this World Cup Satge, both from Senior and Junior shooters.”

“We would like to thanks all the officials and the volunteers, who made this event possible, and the US Army Marksmanship Unit, that hosted us in these facilities.” Mr. Anderson said.

The ISSF World Cup Stage in Fort Benning kicked off on 5th of May. Ten Olympic Rifle and Pistol events were conducted through the 13 of May, when the event was closed by the last final, the 50m Rifle Prone Men, won by France's Valerian Sauveplane.

290 athletes coming from 40 countries participated in the event, for a total of 520 starts.  

 

Three new Wolrd Records and two new Junior Worrld Records were scored throughout this World Cup Stage.

 

The ISSF World Cup Series will now move on to Munich, Germany, where the next Rifle & Pistol Stage will be held at the 1972 Olympic Shooting Range in Hochbrucke from the 24 trough the 30 of May.
