2nd Youth Olympic Games · Nanjing, CHN

Eight finalists for the first medal

Women's 10m Air Pistol final, the first of six shooting events at the Nanjing 2014 Youth Olympics, will take place tomorrow, Sunday, 17 August 2014, at 11:00 China Standard Time (UTC+08:00). Find out how to watch this and the other finals here.

20 shooters from 20 different countries will compete in the qualification round in the morning, from 09:00 to 09:50 (see start list). The athletes performing the eight highest scores will enter the final.

The finalists will then start from the same point, their qualification scores being zeroed as of the new ISSF rules came into effect last year.

First, there will be two three-shot series, each fired in one hundred and fifty seconds; then, fourteen single shots - fifty seconds each.

Eliminations begin after eight shots, as eighth position is confirmed; all the other positions are decided every two single shots, until the gold medallist.

The other five shooting events are scheduled for next week, one each day from Monday through Friday; there will be Men's 10m Air Pistol, as well as Women's and Men's 10m Air Rifle.

Finally, there will be a Mixed International Match for both 10m Air Pistol and 10m Air Rifle.
