Acapulco is ready to host this year’s second World Cup stage

For the fourth time since 2010 the Mexican city overlooking the Pacific Ocean will host a stage of the ISSF World Cup.

The International Shooting Sport Federation season started less than a month ago, but it’s already time for the second World Cup stage to take place. After an action-packed competition in New Delhi, in fact, the Mexican city of Acapulco will host the second competition of the season from March 17th to March 27th.


The Club de Caza, Tiro y Pesca de Acapulco will welcome 206 of the best Shotgun shooters in the world, as they will represent 33 National Olympic Committees and pile up 213 starts, competing in the five Shotgun events.


The five final matches will take place according to the following schedule:


Sunday, March 19th:

Trap Women at 4:15 pm (UTC-6:00)


Monday, March 20th:

Trap Men at 3:00 pm


Wednesday, March 22nd:

Double Trap Men at 3:45 pm


Saturday, March 25th:

Skeet Women at 3:30 pm


Sunday, March 26th:

Skeet Men at 2:00 pm


It will be the fourth World Cup stage held in Acapulco in the last eight years, after the ones in 2010, 2013 and 2015.


The remaining stages of the 2017 ISSF World Cup Series will take place in Larnaka (CYP), Munich (GER) and Gabala (AZE), where athletes of the three disciplines will try to earn a spot among the participants to the ISSF World Cup Final, scheduled in New Delhi in late October.


The five final matches will be streamed live on the ISSF website, on the Federation’s Livestream channel and on its official Facebook page.
