Suhl is ready to become the center of the shooting sport world

Between June 22nd and June 29th the German city will host the German Open of the ISSF World Tour Target Sprint and the second ISSF Junior World Cup of the season.

In the eight days between the 22nd and the 29th of June, the city of Suhl (GER) will host two ISSF competitions, thus becoming the capital city of the shooting sport world.

 

The first one — the German Open of the ISSF World Tour Target Sprint — is set to take place in downtown Suhl on June 23rd and June 24th. Four individual races and one relay will be conducted, according to the following schedule:

 

Saturday, June 23rd

Target Sprint Men

Target Sprint Women

Target Sprint Men Junior

Target Sprint Women Junior

 

Sunday, June 24th

Target Sprint Mixed Team

 

A total of 39 athletes is going to compete, representing four nations and piling up 39 starts.

 

The ISSF Junior World Cup, instead, will take place from the 22nd to the 29th. It’s the second junior competition of the 2018 ISSF season, as the first Junior World Cup took place in Sydney (AUS) from March 19th to March 29th.

 

A total of 761 junior athletes will participate in the competition, representing 61 National Olympic Committees and piling up a total of 1544 starts. So far, it’s the highest number of participants for an ISSF Junior World Cup.

 

Along with the 15 Olympic shooting events, seven non-Olympic ones will be conducted: 25m Pistol Men Junior, 25m Standard Pistol Men Junior, 25m Standard Pistol Women Junior, 50m Rifle Prone Men Junior, 50m Rifle Prone Women Junior, 50m Pistol Men Junior and 50m Pistol Women Junior.
