The ISSF joins celebrations of the 70th Olympic Day

Every June 23rd since 1948 the Olympic world calls on everybody to get active and celebrate the Olympic Day.

On June 23rd — every year since 1948 — the International Shooting Sport Federation and the whole Olympic Movement celebrate the Olympic Day, promoting the importance of sport and of leading an active life.

From nine nations to over 150 in 2017, Olympic Day festivities have been enjoyed by millions of people, playing and participating in sport and cultural activities. This year, marking the 70th anniversary of the Olympic Day, is gearing up to see a record participation and activation around the world.

To mark the 70th anniversary of this day, the IOC launched two campaigns: the first one, called United By, celebrates the power of Olympism to build bridges and bring people together regardless of age, gender, religion, nationality or ability. The second one, called #OlympicDance, is an invite to post and share short clips picturing viral dance moves.

The ISSF invites athletes and Federations to join the campaign and share their stories by using the hashtags #OlympicDay, #UnitedBy and #OlympicDance.
