Beijing and London Olympic Champion, Hancock equalled the World Record in the qualification for the third time in his career and his second time in Acapulco. He also equalled the Finals World Record.
Silver medal went to Rio Olympic Champion, Italy's Gabriele Rossetti and Czech Republic's Jakub Tomecek won the Bronze medal.
Olympic Quotas were won by Gabriele Rossetti (ITA) and Jakub Tomecek (CZE).
In the medal standing first place went to the USA team, second – to the Australia team, third – to the Egypt, Italy and New Zealand teams.
