Yulia Zykova wins her first World Cup Gold medal

Olympic Quota places for Tokyo 2020 go to Russia and Norway

Yulia Zykova from the Russian Federation won the 50m Rifle 3 Positions Women’s Final at the 2019 ISSF World Cup in Munich today. The European Junior champion of 2015 qualified in seventh place for the final. Throughout the final Zykova remained in second position, behind the British shooter Seonaid Mcintosh who was 0.9 points ahead after the penultimate shot.  In a tense last shot Mcintosh, the Prone World Champion of 2018, scored 9.5 to the Russian shooter's 10.6 points. Yulia Zykova took the Gold and the first Olympic quota place for Tokio 2020.

Katrine Lund from Norway finished in third place and took the second Olympic quota for her country.
