The final meeting of the International Shooting Sport Federation Executive Committee in 2020

The third and final meeting of the ISSF Executive Committee in 2020 took place on December 12.

Presidents of the Continental Confederations were invited to take part in it with Members of the Executive Committee as well.

Secretary General Alexander Ratner presented a summary of the main activities of the ISSF management and decision taken by the elective bodies in 2020.  He also informed about a video meeting between the ISSF President Vladimir Lisin and the IOC President Thomas Bach on the Paris 2024 Olympic Games program, as well as about regular contacts of the ISSF Secretariat with the IOC Sports Department and the Organizing Committees of the Olympic Games 2020 and 2024.

The members of the Executive Committee were updated about the implementation of the Development Fund's programs. In particular, that 37 National Federations have applied for and received already grants for Tokyo 2020 Olympic quotas and that 27 National Federations have requested and were granted the shooting sport equipment.

Innovations for the Shooting Sport were highlighted regarding the creation of formats for Mixed Team and Team events that did not exist before. It was also pointed out the increased ISSF activity on social networks to attract a new audience and contacts with the European Chemical Agency on environmental issues.

The Secretary General announced that the new education system for Coaches has been implemented and is now available on the ISSF website. An educational program for judges will be presented introduced shortly.

The ISSF Technical Director Willi Grill presented the updated ISSF Championships calendar for 2021, as agreed by all Organizing Committees. Board ExCo members also approved the ISSF Championships Calendar for 2022, based on applications reviewed by the ISSF Evaluation Commission.

The ISSF Executive Committee recommended the Administrative Council approve the National Federations of Cambodia and Faroes Islands as associate members of the ISSF, on the basis of their applications and their compliance with the requirements of the ISSF Constitution.

The ISSF Committee also recommended the Council remove the need for National Federations to pay membership fees for 2021, following the unique situation in 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
