Athletes from Indonesia won 2 Gold medals and led the Medal Standing

The ISSF Grand Prix Rifle/Pistol continues in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Today the athletes competed for medals in three 10m events. Two of them were won by local athletes from Indonesia and brought their country to the first place in the Medal Standing.

 

Debutant of the ISSF competitions, 16-year-old Muhamad Iqbal Raia PRABOWA from Indonesia, was the best in the 10m Air Pistol Men. The second place was also taken by an athlete from Indonesia - Wira SUKMANA. Malaysian Guanjie Jonathan WONG won Bronze.

 

In 10m Air Pistol Women Gold went to Syasya Nadiah Binti Mohd Arifin NURUL from Malaysia. In the final, she was more accurate than Xiu Hong TEH from Singapore and Natsara CHAMPALAT from Thailand, who finished second and third respectively.

 

The second Gold for the day was won by athletes from Indonesia. In the 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team Gold Medal match, Monica DARYANTI and Fathur GUSTAFIAN defeated Fernel Qian Ni TAN and Tianrui GAI from Singapore. Bronze medals were won by Natanya Huiyi TAN and Zen Joi Lionel WONG from Singapore, Nafisha TABASUM and Mohamad ALI from Bangladesh.

 

Tomorrow participants will compete for medals in 10m Air Pistol Mixed Team and 10m Team events.
