First bright victories in Baku

ISSF World Cup Rifle / Pistol / Shotgun · Baku, AZE

The ISSF World Cup Rifle/ Pistol/ Shotgun started in Baku, Azerbaijan. More than 700 athletes from 66 countries of the world participate in the competition.

Lazar KOVACEVIC from Serbia won Gold in 10m Air Rifle Men. This medal was the first for him at the ISSF competitions among seniors. Miran MARICIC from Croatia took second place. The third was Islam USSEINOV from Kazakhstan and won the first ISSF medal.

 

The winner and prize-winner of the European Championships Oceanne MULLER from France won the 10m Air Rifle Women. Second place went to Aneta STANKIEWICZ from Poland, third place to Laura-Georgeta ILIE from Romania.

 

2019 European Champion Klaudia BRES from Poland took first place in the 10m Air Pistol Women. Second place went to Grand Prix winner Camille JEDRZEJEWSKI from France. Vice-champion of the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo Antoaneta KOSTADINOVA from Bulgaria won the Bronze.

 

Vice-champion of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics Damir MIKEC from Serbia confidently won the Air Pistol Men. 21-year-old Kaloyan STAMENOV from Bulgaria, who finished second, won his first ISSF medal. The bronze medalist was Michael SCHWALD from Germany.
