First final for Azerbaijan in Shotgun, 4 medals for France and 3 for USA - the ISSF World Cup continues in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Tokyo 2020 Olympic champion and Rio 2016 medalist Jean QUIQUAMPOIX from France took a landslide victory in the 25m Rapid Fire Pistol Men. The second place was taken by the Olympic champion of Rio 2016 and medalist of Beijing 2008 Christian REITZ from Germany. World Cup winner and medalist Clement BESSAGUET from France won the Bronze medal, skipped forward Christian REITZ only during shoot-off. 

 

For the first in a long time, an athlete from Azerbaijan reached the final of Skeet Women. Nurlana JAFAROVA left behind her in the qualification champions and medalists of the Olympic Games.

 

The winner in this event was Lucie ANASTASSIOU from France. After her victory, the French team came out on top in Medal standing. Silver was won by the 2018 World Champion Caitlin CONNOR from USA. The ISSF Golden Target-2021 Austen Jewell SMITH from USA took third place.

 

Three-time Olympic champion American Vincent HANCOCK won Gold in Skeet Men. Nicolas LEJEUNE from France won the Silver medal, which was his first individual ISSF award. Vice-champion Tokyo-2020 Jesper HANSEN from Denmark took third place.

 

Ukrainians Oksana KOVALCHUK, Olena KOSTEVYCH and Anastasiia NIMETS won the 25m Pistol Team Women. Second place went to Chawisa PADUKA, Tanyaporn PRUCKSAKORN and Chidchanok HIRUNPHOEM from Thailand. Jiyoung HAN, Lana KIM and Hyunyoung YOO from Republic of Korea won Bronze.

 

Ashi CHOUKSEY and Swapnil KUSALE from India were the best in the 50m Rifle 3 Positions Mixed Team. Silver was won by Daria TYKHOVA and Serhiy KULISH from Ukraine. Aneta STANKIEWICZ and Tomasz BARTNIK from Poland finished third.

 

Tomorrow athletes will compete for medals in the 25m Rapid Fire Pistol Mixed Team and Skeet Team events.
