Double victories for Serbia and People's Republic of China

The ISSF World Cup Rifle/Pistol/Shotgun continues in Changwon, Korea. Today, the winners were determined in four more events. Serbia won 2 Gold in Rifle/Pistol events, People's Republic of China won 2 Gold in Shotgun events.

 

Serbian Zorana ARUNOVIC, winner and medalist of the World Cups, confidently won the 10m Air Pistol Women. In the medal match, she left her opponent Ai Wen YU from Chinese Taipei no chance. Ai Wen YU won Silver and won her first World Cup medal. The third place was taken by the winner and medalist of the World Cups Veronika MAJOR from Hungary.

 

The second Gold for Serbia was brought by the vice-champion of the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 Damir MIKEC. In the medal match, he was more accurate than the vice-champion of the 2012 Olympic Games Luca TESCONI from Italy. Luca won the Silver. The bronze medalist was another athlete from Italy, the ISSF Grand Prix winner Paolo MONNA.

 

Today athletes determined the first medalists in Shotgun events. Cuicui WU from the People's Republic of China won Gold in Trap Women. This medal is her first since 2011. World Cups winner Penny SMITH from Australia finished in second place. The youngest participant in the final, Lucy Charlotte HALL from Great Britain, won her first World Cup medal - Bronze.

 

Ying QI from the People's Republic of China won his first World Cup medal in the Trap Men event. The second and third places were taken by Italian athletes Lorenzo FERRARI and 2017 world champion Daniele RESCA.
