First Indonesian ISSF WC victories go to Japan and Hungary

The ISSF World Cup  Rifle/Pistol started in Jakarta, Indonesia.

For the first time in the new year, athletes will also compete here for medals in the 25-meter and 50-meter events.  About 220 athletes came to Jakarta not only to fight for medals, but also to get rating points for the ISSF World Ranking 2023.

 

The first medals were awarded in 10m Air Rifle Men and 10m Air Rifle Women.

 

Eszter MESZAROS from Hungary showed the best result among women both in qualification and in the final and took first place. Silver was won by  Aneta STANKIEWICZ  from Poland, the third result was shown by Laura- Georgeta ILIE from Roumania. 

 

Among men, the first place was taken by  Naoya OKADA from Japan. In a tough fight, he defeated Konstantin MALINOVSKIY from Kazakhstan, who finished second. Bronze was won by Marcus MADSEN from Sweden.

Tomorrow athletes will compete for medals in 10m Air Pistol Men and Women.
