First Indonesian Grand Prix victories go to Romania and Thailand

The ISSF Grand Prix Rifle/Pistol started in Jakarta, Indonesia.

For the first time in the new year, athletes will also compete here for medals in the 25-meter and 50-meter events, the finals of which will be held according to the new rules. About 100 athletes came to Jakarta not only to fight for medals, but also to get rating points for the ISSF World Ranking 2022.

 

The first medals were awarded in 10m Air Rifle Men and 10m Air Rifle Women.

 

Laura-Georgeta ILIE from Romania showed the best result among women both in qualification and in the final and took first place. Silver was won by Khairunnisa SALSABELA from Indonesia, the third result was shown by the debutant of the ISSF competition - Nafisha TABASUM from Bangladesh.

 

Among men, the first place was taken by Napis TORTUNGPANICH from Thailand. In a tough fight, he defeated Fathur GUSTAFIAN from Indonesia, who finished second. Bronze was won by Tianrui GAI from Singapore.

 

Tomorrow athletes will compete for medals in 10m Air Pistol Mean and Women, 10m Air Rifle Mixed team.
