Chiara Leone carried on the baton for Switzerland in the women's 50m rifle 3 positions, ensuring the Olympic title stayed in the country following Nina Christen's Tokyo victory. Here, Leone mentions the Renaissance legend who she would invite to dinner and how she embraces "joie de vivre".

What is the best advice you have been given in your life?

“Do it for you, not for others.” It’s advice that’s been very helpful to me and has reminded me why I do what I do.

What is your favourite film and why?

Baby Driver. I like the story and the combination of action and music.

Tell me the album you could play on repeat?

Herz from Adrian Stern, probably because this was my first ever concert.

What is your greatest fear?

That something bad will happen to my loved ones.

Who would be at your dream dinner party?

If you could visit anywhere in the world where would it be and why?

I really loved my trip to South America. I’ve also been to Asia before but mostly for sporting events. So I’d love to see more of Southeast Asia.

What is your favourite food to snack on?

Chips

What actor would you like to play you in a movie about your life?

Someone Like You by Adele, but do not expect too much!

What is your favourite sport aside from shooting?

I like to be on my road bike in summer and my cross-country skis in winter. I love to watch skiing or biathlon in winter. During the summer I prefer to be outside ;)

Do you have a secret skill?

I can take great naps pretty much everywhere.

If you could time travel, when would you time travel to?

To the moment right after I fired my last shot at the Olympics. So I could relive the excitement without having to experience the nervousness again.

What would you say to your younger self?

Things will be OK if you just follow your dreams and do the best every day.

What is the best gift you have ever received?

Probably my Olympic Gold medal if this even counts as a gift.

What is your favourite thing about yourself?

My optimism and joie de vivre.

What annoys you the most?

Injustice and prejudice.

Describe your perfect day

A healthy sleep-in, stressless breakfast with fresh, Swiss bread, some time outdoors to soak in nature, followed by some quality time with my best friends. If I can squeeze in some reading time even better, and I would finish the day with a nice dinner somewhere – ideally with some Italian food and good company.
