There will be a new look for the 2025 ISSF Athlete of the Year Awards, providing accolades for the best shooters in each of the three disciplines.

Last year recognised the best male and female athletes, but now this will be extended to a dedicated award for both in rifle, pistol and shotgun. The ISSF People's Choice Athlete Award will also be introduced, providing glory for fan favourites.

For the Rifle, Pistol and Shotgun Athlete of the Year awards - these will be voted on by National Federations, members of the ISSF Committees, media and athletes. Each National Federation, Committee member, athlete and media representative is eligible for one vote in each category.

The ISSF People's Choice Athlete Award will see 10 athletes recognised for their impact across the 2025 season, nominated. These nominations will be based on fan engagement, achievements and records. From there, there will be an online vote on the ISSF website to determine who wins with the public.

Announcement of these winners will be announced during a ceremony at the ISSF World Cup Final in Doha, Qatar, in December.
