Slovakia's Rehak Stefecekova and Varga rule the Trap Mixed Team final in Changwon

The two shooters climbed atop the podium at the end of a tight battle that, in the end, saw them prevail over the reigning World Champion team of Australia, represented by Penny Smith and Jack Wallace. Kuwait’s Sarah Alhawal and Khaled Almudhaf completed the podium in 3rd place.

The 2012 Olympic Champion won his second consecutive Trap Men world cup title, on the closing day of the 2016 ISSF Shotgun World Cup in Rome.

Varga beats Pellielo in Lonato to claim his second Trap world championship title back to back

The Slovakian shooter beat the home champion Pellielo at the ISSF Shotgun World Championship in Lonato, Italy, in a shoot-off after the Gold medal match. Varga had gained the title one year ago at the 2014 ISSF World Championship in Granada, Spain.

Erik Varga won the Trap Men final at the ISSF World Championship in Granada, beating Great Britain's Ling in a shoot-off for Gold. Italy's Pellielo placed in third, clinching a Quota place for his seventh Olympic Games.

The 37-year old shooter beat Italy's first-time finalist Valerio Grazini in a shoot-off, needed to assign the medals after they both had finished the Gold medal match with 14 hits each.
