Australia’s Willett beats USA’s Holguin to win Double Trap title at the ISSF World Cup Final

The ISSF Shotgun World Cup Final in Rome kicked-off today with two medal events, the men’s Double Trap and the women’s Skeet finals. Australia’s Olympic finalist Willett secured the Double Trap title by beating USA’s 2014 World Cup Final winner Holguin.

USA's Holguin earns Double Trap Gold and Olympic Quota in Acapulco

The reigning ISSF Wolrd Cup champion secured a Rio 2016 Quota spot for USA, beating Hi Binyuan of the People's Republic of China in the Gold medal match, and his teammate Haldeman in a 52-target shoot-off at the end of the semi-final.

Jeffrey Holguin and Joshua Richmond dueled for Gold at the Double Trap medal match, right to the last target and further on. Vitaly Fokeev of the Russian Federation beat Italy's Barillà in the Bronze match.
