Belgrade’s World Cup closed today - The medal standings

The ISSF Technical Delegate, Mr Robert Mitchell, thanked the organizers, the officials and the volunteers speaking at the last award ceremony of this World Cup stage.

“I would like to thank the Organizing Committee of this World Cup Stage in Rifle and Pistol events for their great commitment, and for the excellent outcomes of this competition.” Said the ISSF Technical Delegate, Mr. Robert Mitchell, speaking at the 25m Rapid Fire Men award ceremonym, the last award ceremony of this World Cup Stage, hosted at the BG Kovilovo sport centre, in the outskirts of Belgrade. “I also would like to thank the juries, the referrers, the officials and the volunteers that have been working with us in these days. Thanks to you all, this has been a successful competition!”

The overall medal standing of this fourth and last leg of the 2010 ISSF World Cup Series in Rifle&Pistol events saw the success of the French team, which finished atop of the competition’s final ranking with two Gold and two Silver medals. Following them, Campriani’s and Badaracchi’s Italy finished in second tying the United States of America with a total of two Gold medals.

The 2010 ISSF World Cup Series will now proceed with the two World Cup Finals, in Shotgun events (Istanbul, 16-23/09) and Rifle&Pistol events (Munich, 24-29/10).

The next appointment with the International Shooting Sport Federation is now set for the 29th of July, when the 50th ISSF World Championship in all events will kick-off in Munich (GER). More then 2000 shooters coming from all around the world are expected to compete there in the biggest shooting competition of the century.  Fifty-five shooting events will be conducted during the World Championship, both in Olympic shooting events (with a chance to qualify for the next 2012 Olympics in London), non-Olympic and separate Junior events.
