Italian Clay Shooting Federation presents the 1st FITAV Summer Camp for young shooters

The Italian Clay Shooting Sport Federation (FITAV) presented it's first FITAV Summer Camp, a training camp open to athletes from 12 to 20 years of age, that will take place from the 31st of July right to the 14th of August 2014 in Massa Martana, Italy.


“We created a special training program, dedicated to the youngsters.” The Technical Director of the FITAV Summer Camps, the ISSF “A” license coach Diego Gasperini said.


“During the Summer Camps, we will be touching all the aspects of the sport: from shooting techniques to correct alimentation, from athletic preparation to mental coaching, following the best practices of the Italian school along with the scientific methods we developed.”


International instructors will supervise the clay shooting coaching program. Next to Gasperini, the Summer Camp will see the participation of Andrea Filippetti (coach of the Italian junior skeet team), Sotiris Sotiriou, (coach of the Cypriot junior skeet team), Marco Micheli (ISSF 'C' license coach). The physical preparation will be overseen by Fabio Partigiani, the athletic trainer of the Italian shotgun team, while the mental coaching will be followed by Federico di Carlo, the mental trainer of the Italian Tennis Federation.


Mr. Luciano Rossi, President of FITAV and ISSF Vice-President, commented: “The FITAV Summer Camp represent the new face of the Italian commitment in the shooting sport panorama. We believe that such Camp represents a great chance for our younger shooters to meet and learn the secrets of professional shooting, in a positive and formative context.”
