10m Running Target Men: Emil Martinsson of Sweden claimed the title in Granada

One of the most successful Running Target shooters of the wolrd, Emil Martinsson of Sweden, claimed the world championship title after winning two individual silver medals in the past days.

Emil Martinsson of Sweden turned out to be the protagonist of today's 10m Running Target Men medal match, at the 51st ISSF World Championship in Granada, Spain.

The 35-year old shooter ruled the Gold medal match, beating the winner of the 10m Running Target Mixed Men event Zhai Yujia of the People's Republic of China with a net score of 6 to 2 points, claiming his fourth individual world title in Running Target events since 2008.

Martinsson had already won two individual Silver medals here in Granada, at the 50m Running Target Mixed Men and at the 10m Running Target Mixed Men events.


Today's Bronze medal went to the title defender, Dimitry Romanov of the Russian Federation, who beat Hungary's Boros Laszlo 6 to 3 hits in the Bronze medal match.


Romanov also pushed the Russian team (Dimitry Romanov, Maxim Stepanov and Alexander Ivanov) atop of the teams podium, with an overall score of 1717 points. The People's Republic of China (Zhai Yujia, Xie Durun, Jie Zhang) finished just three points behind, with 1714 points, leaving the Bronze to Hungary (Laszlo Boros, Jozsef Sike, Tamas Tasi) with 1714 points.
