582 athletes from 47 countries gathered to distribute medals in 27 events.
The Organizing Committee in cooperation with the State and local authorities made great efforts to arrange all necessary conditions for the participants and for the promotion of the shooting sport.
The Final Hall looks like “a Shooting Theatre” with a nice color decoration, big screens where the spectators can see not only the results but follow the live TV and Internet broadcasting.
All the finals from the Championship will be streamed in Internet on the ESC website and Facebook. 6 finals in Olympic events and 2 finals of a new team event will be broadcasted live on TV through EBU.
In the opening speech the ISSF President Mr.Vladimir Lisin noted that Osijek has great traditions in hosting Championships in shooting sport. And these traditions will be developed as far as Osijek will host European competitions in the years 2020 and 2021.
