ISSF World Cup Shotgun has finished yesterday in Lahti

Four countries won Olympic Quotas for Tokyo 2020 in the Skeet events at the last World Cup of the year where Olympic Quotas were available.

In the concluding finals, Skeet Men and Skeet Women, medals were won by 5 different countries.

Wei Meng from the People’s Republic of China won the Skeet Women's Gold medal and an Olympic Quota for Tokyo 2020 for her country.

Two shooters from the USA, Caitlin Connor and Amber English, won Silver and Bronze medals respectively.

Nele Wissmer from Germany also won the Quota in this event.

In the Skeet Men's competition, Luigi Lodde from Italy showed his class equalling the World Record in qualification with a score of 125/125 and 55/60 in the final. This was a return to podium after a gap of 5 years for the Italian shooter.

Eric Delaunay from France won the Silver medal and one of the two Olympic Quotas on offer, whilst Azmy Mehelba from Egypt won the Bronze medal and the second Quota available, making both podium finishes all the sweeter.
