Enthusiastic rifle shooter, Jacques Trouvé has been an international jury since 1991. He had been President of the French Shooting Sports Federation during twelve years (1993-2005) and was Honorary President since. During the same period, he was a member of the French National Olympic and Sport Committee.
At the European level, Jacques Trouvé was a Member of the ESC Presidium and Secretary General of the EU Shooting Sports Associations Union.
Since 1994, Jacques Trouvé was Member of the ISSF Administrative Council, then became the ISSF Honorary Member.
Jacques Trouvé was proudly bearing the following distinctions:

- Chevalier de l’Ordre National du Mérite
- Médaille d’or de la Jeunesse et des Sports
- Chevalier des Palmes Académiques
