The Russian Federation, Qatar, UAE, and Spain win first medals at the Grand Prix in Morocco

At the ISSF Grand Prix Shotgun in Rabat, Morocco, athletes competed for their first medals in the Olympic Skeet.

In Skeet Women event the full podium was occupied by athletes from the Russian Federation who confidently surpassed athletes from Morocco and Senegal. FAZYLZYANOVA Alina took the first place. BATYRSHINA Zilia and ZHADNOVA Anna won Silver and Bronze respectively.

In Skeet Men athletes from three nations won medals: Qatar, UAE, and Spain. The victory was celebrated by HAMAD Rashid from Qatar, who overtook BIN FUTAIS Saif from UAE in a bitter struggle. It is noteworthy that the winners and Silver medalists in both the Men's and Women's Finals showed the same results - 54 hit targets for Gold and 52 - for Silver. The third was ARAMBURU Juan Jose from Spain.

On Thursday athletes will be fighting for medals in the Trap event. The competition will continue until February 6th.
