The ISSF President held meetings with Continental Confederations

ISSF President Vladimir Lisin met with ISSF Member Federations from Asia, Africa, North and South America, Europe, and Oceania.

Representatives of each continent were informed about the ISSF President’s activity and the events in whichhe took part in 2021. They were also updated on the 2021 ISSF Championships that made it possible to fully complete the qualifying process for Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and allocate all Quota Places in the Field of Play as well as on the innovations in the competition program and formats which have received positive reviews from the athletes, coaches, and officials.

ISSF Secretary General Alexander Ratner shared with the meeting participants statistics on the number and duration of shooting sports broadcasts on TV, as well as internet streaming, which in 2021 alone has about 1.5 million views on YouTube.

Representatives of Member Federations were also informed of the assistance already granted to the them though the ISSF Development Fund established by the ISSF President.

 
During the meetings, a detailed analysis of the outcome of the Qualification process for the Olympic Games in Tokyo, which ended on June 6 for the shooting sport, was done and the next steps required to complete the process of Olympic quota places reallocation within the timeframe set by the IOC and Tokyo 2020was explained.
