First medal for Thailand

ISSF Junior World Championship Rifle / Pistol / Shotgun · Lima, PER

One more country was added to the Medal Standing of the ISSF Junior World Championship Rifle / Pistol / Shotgun in Peru after athletes from Thailand won their first medal.

In 50m Rifle 3 Positions Team Men Junior Gold of the World Junior Championship was won by KISS Viktor, TOEROEK Ferenc, HAMMERL Soma Richard from Hungary. The athletes showed the best result in qualifying, setting the World junior record. The French BAILLY Nathan, KRYZS Lucas Bernard Denis, DESTEFANIS Bastien Louis Noel won Silver. Third place went to KISSELL Rylan William, PEISER Braden Wayne, BARNICK Gavin Raymond Leigh from USA.

 

Among the Women Junior in this event, the best were American MCGHIN Molly Elizabeth, ZAUN Katie Lorraine, TUCKER Mary Carolynn. In the Gold Medal match, they defeated NISCHAL Nischal, MAHANT Prasiddhi, PODDER Ayushi from India. STARK Nele, WEINDORF Larissa, JANSSEN Anna from Germany climbed to the Third place of the podium.

 

SANGWAN Rhythm and SIDHU Vijayveer from India won Gold in the 25m Rapid Fire Pistol Mixed Team Junior. Athletes from Thailand won the first medal in these competitions. HIRUNPHOEM Kanyakorn and TRINIPHAKORN Schwakon finished second. Third place was taken by another team from India, represented by TEJASWANI Tejaswani and ANISH Anish.

 

In Trap Mixed Team Junior GARCIA Juan Antonio and MOLNE MAGRINA Mar from Spain won Gold and came forward the Germans in Medal Standing, moving up to sixth place. The second were LITTAME Sofia and FAUSTINELLI Samuele from Italy. JOHN Marius Josef Erik and HALWAX Nadine finished third.

 

Competitions will continue until Sunday. Tomorrow, athletes will compete for medals in the 50m Rifle 3 Positions Mixed Team Junior, 25m Rapid Fire Pistol Team Men Junior, as well as in the Double Trap in Grand Prix.
