USA takes two Golds in Lima

ISSF World Cup Shotgun continues in Lima, Peru. Today athletes competed for medals in Trap Team events.

Athletes from the United States of America won two Golds at once.

 

Kayle BROWNING, Aeriel Alease SKINNER and Rachel Leighanne TOZIER won the Trap Team Women event. For the first place they competed with Stefanie Tanya GOETZKE DAVILA, Adriana RUANO OLIVA and Ana Waleska SOTO ABRIL from Guatemala who won the Silver. Third place went to Ariadna Gabriela ACEVEDO RIVERA, Augusta Rose CAMPOS-MARTYN and Ana LATORRE from Puerto Rico. For athletes from Guatemala and Puerto Rico, these awards were the first in Peru.

 

Spectators saw a stubborn struggle in the men's final, where the destiny of all three medals was decided by the results of the shoot off. William HINTON, Derrick Scott MEIN and Casey WALLACE defeated Spaniards Alberto FERNANDEZ, Adria MARTINEZ TORRES and Manuel MURCIA in the shoot off after 7 targets. And Indian Shapath BHARADWAJ, Kynan CHENAI and Manavaditya Singh RATHORE brought Bronze to their country also after victory in the shoot off.

 

Tomorrow the athletes will compete for medals in the Trap Mixed Team, the live streaming of the final will be available on the ISSF Internet resources.
