Olympic champion Jiri LIPTAK wins Gold in Baku

Republic of Korea, Greece, Finland and the Czech Republic took Golds in the next day at the ISSF World Cup in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Jihyeon KEUM and Hajun PARK from Republic of Korea confidently won in the 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team. Their rivals in the Gold Medal Match Andrea ARSOVIC and Lazar KOVACEVIC from Serbia took second place. Julia Ewa PIOTROWSKA and Maciej KOWALEWICZ from Poland and another team from the Republic of Korea Dayeong GWON and Sangdo KIM won the Bronze medal matches.

 

Olympic champion of Rio-2016 Anna KORAKAKI from Greece won in 10m Air Pistol Mixed Team with her brother Dionysios KORAKAKIS. Silver was won by Olena KOSTEVYCH and Oleh OMELCHUK from Ukraine. Bronze medals were won by Sevval Ilayda TARHAN and Yusuf DIKEC from Turkey; Zorana ARUNOVIC and Damir MIKEC from Serbia.

 

Noora ANTIKAINEN from Finland won Gold in Trap Women for the first time since 2004. The second place was taken by the Tokyo 2020 Olympian champion in the Trap Mixed Team Fatima GALVEZ from Spain. Laetisha SCANLAN from Australia took third place.

 

Tokyo 2020 Olympic champion Jiri LIPTAK from the Czech Republic won the Trap Men final without a single miss. Silver was won by the World Cup winner Talal ALRASHIDI from Kuwait. The third place was taken by the 2017 world champion Daniele RESCA from Italy.

 

Tomorrow the athletes will compete for medals in team events in Rifle/ Pistol/ Shotgun.
