Launch of ISSF documentary series Road to Paris 2024

Featuring Olympic highlights and exclusive big-name interviews all the way to the Games Opening Ceremony on July 26

The Road to Paris 2024, a 20-part ISSF documentary countdown to the Olympics and Paralympics, gets underway today.

In the introductory episode hosts Martina Lučić and Jamie Stangroom give viewers a taste of what to expect of the series.

It will take the sport’s followers all the way to the Games Opening Ceremony on July 26, revisiting some of the biggest Olympic moments and featuring exclusive interviews with some of shooting sport’s top names.

Episode one includes:

* Explanation of the format - each episode (from next week) will be dedicated to a different Olympic shooting sport discipline, featuring interviews with athletes, coaches and more, as well as some special bonus episodes along the way (Kimberly Rhode special, a look at the history of Shooting Sport at the Games & a deep-dive into the psychology of Shooting Sport)

* Montage of athletes revealing what other Olympic sport they would like to compete in if they were not shooting sport athletes - including Olympic champions Christian Reitz, Vincent Hancock and Nina Christen, world champion Doreen Vennekamp

* Preview clips of some of the upcoming interviews (Seonaid McIntosh & Zorana Arunović)

* Tokyo 2020 Olympic champion Jean Quiquampoix, who looks ahead to having the Games in his home country and gives viewers an idea of what to expect from shooting sport’s Games venue at Chateauroux

* Interview with ISSF President Luciano Rossi, who discusses the plans for ISSF House at Paris 2024
