Road to Paris 2024 episode 2 targets 25m Rapid Fire Pistol Men

Featuring Olympic highlights and exclusive big-name interviews all the way to the Games Opening Ceremony on July 26

The 25m Rapid Fire Pistol Men is featured in the second episode of The Road to Paris 2024 which is released today on the ISSF You Tube platform.

With less than five months to go until the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the International Shooting Sport Federation takes a special look at an event which originated from the shooting event at the first-ever Summer Games in 1896.

In the latest episode, the ISSF TV team give an overview of the Pistol event, with exclusive interviews with Jean Quiquampoix (France), Anish Bhanwala (India) and Christian Reitz (Germany).

The 20-part ISSF documentary countdown to the Olympics and Paralympics, hosted by Martina Lučić and Jamie Stangroom, will take the sport’s followers all the way through to the Games Opening Ceremony on July 26.

En route it will revisit some of the biggest Olympic moments and feature exclusive interviews with some of shooting sport’s top names.

Episode 2 takes a close look at one of the oldest Olympic disciplines.

Former pistol athlete and host Martina introduces the rules and format of the 25m Rapid Fire Pistol event.

Jamie interviews Christian Reitz, who discusses the unusual way he discovered he was a bronze medallist at the Beijing Games, winning gold at Rio 2016 and his pet snakes.

Martina chats to Anish Bhanwala, who secured a quota place for India at the Asian Championships, Changwon 2023.

ISSF TV's Rory McAllister interviews France’s Jean Quiquampoix about the shoot-off that earned him a silver medal at the Rio 2016 Olympics and what he expects from the home Games that will take place in Paris this summer.
