Yi of the People's Republic of China won the 10m Air Rifle Women final at the ISSF World Cup in All Events in Granada, Spain. 2nd place was taken by Austria's Lisa Ungerank, while the bronze medal went to China's Wu – who had set a New World Record during the qualifications; in that same round, South Korea's Seo set a Junior one.
Yi Siling, 24, – London 2012 gold medallist – started off with the right foot, scoring the highest scores of the first two competition rounds (31.2 and 31.8); the Chinese shooter finally scored 210.8 points, which gave her a 2.3-point lead over Ungerank.
Lisa Ungerank, 21, came 2nd with a final score of 208.5. The Austrian shooter was loudly supported by her fans, as they had done at the Munich World Cup – where Lisa had won her first gold medal a few months ago.
Wu Liuxi, 28, was on the lowest step of the podium with 187.0 points. Wu – silver medallist at the latest ISSF World Cup in Fort Benning (50m Rifle 3 Positions Women) – had had a brilliant performance in the qualifications, where she had set a New World Record of 421.0.
Andrea Arsovic, 26, of Serbia – Fort Benning 2013 gold medallist - missed out on the podium coming 4th (165.1), followed by the 22-year-old Denmark's Stine Nielsen (145.0) and Sarah Scherer of USA (123.4).
Seo Su Wan of South Korea came 7th (102.3) after having set a qualifying Junior World Record (420.1). The 19-year-old shooter was at her first appearance in an ISSF World Cup.
Ivana Maksimovic surprisingly took last place. The London 2012 Olympic silver medallist closed her match after only 8 shots (81.2).
