The theme tonight was the next Olympic Games in Los Angeles in 2028 – and looking ahead to a bright future for ISSF.

Appropriately, amongst the invited medallists, was Austen Jewell Smith of the USA, winner of the bronze in the women’s skeet which took place earlier that afternoon, joining Chile’s new Olympic champion for the discipline, Francisca Crovetta Chadid (who won Chile’s first gold at these Olympics) and Amber Jo Rutter, the silver medallist, who was joined in the House by her husband and 4 month old baby to make it a unique family occasion.

This Gala evening also recognised the hard work of the Paris 2024 organising team  - led by sport director Peter Underhill – with commemorative plaques given by ISSF President Luciano Rossie to all the technical officials whose dedication behind the scenes are crucial to the sporting success of the Olympic Games.
