The Peruvian National Shooting Sports Federation (FDNTP) hosted the latest rifle/pistol judges course in the capital city of Lima from the 22th to 26th of April.

It followed the conclusion of the ISSF World Cup leg taking place in the city, concluding three weeks of shooting sport in South America.

This course was held at the facilities of the Peruvian Olympic Committee in San Luis and was oversaw by ISSF Pistol Committee member Gerardo Trotta. Trotta was joined in running the course by another officiating veteran Oscar Martinez, a member of the ISSF Judges Committee.

Despite being held in a region dominated by Spanish, all participants - coming from Peru as well as Mexico and Venezuela - studied in English, as required for international officiating.

In total, there were 11 new participants and four others who undertook the course to renew their license. Of the new participants, six officials were qualified - three in rifle and three in pistol.
