ISSF Judges Courses have been held in Iran and the United Arab Emirates as part of the latest group of education events in Asia.
A level B ISSF Judges Course for Rifle and Pistol was successfully conducted at the UAE National Olympic Committee facility in Dubai, welcoming 12 participants.
The course was officially opened by Mr. Hasan bin Hdia, Vice President of the UAE Shooting Federation and ISSF Judges Committee member. Over five days, participants underwent intensive sessions covering ISSF Rifle and Pistol regulations.
The course also featured a special presentation by Dr. James M. Lally, Chairman of the ISSF Medical Committee, addressing integrity, athlete welfare, and the legacy of Mr. Olegario Vázquez Raña. The participants showed strong engagement throughout the course. Examinations reflected the high ISSF standards, with 10 participants passing the Rifle exam and six passing the Pistol exam.
The course concluded with a ceremony led by His Excellency Mohammed Saeed bin Darwish, Executive Director of the UAE National Olympic Committee.

It followed on from the hosting of a course by the Islamic Republic of Iran Shooting Sport Federation at the Azadi Sport Complex concluded successfully with 20 participants attending.
The course was officially opened by Mr. Morteza Ghorbani, President of the IRI Shooting Sport Federation, and Mr. Naser Rasouli, Secretary General. During the five-day programme, participants underwent intensive learning sessions and examinations covering both Rifle and Pistol disciplines.
The Rifle exam recorded a 100% pass rate, while several participants also achieved excellent results in the Pistol exam under the high ISSF standard. The course highlighted the strong motivation and enthusiasm of Iranian officials to stay updated with the latest ISSF regulations.
Henry Oka, the ISSF-appointed instructor, praised the active engagement and high level of interaction throughout the course. Special appreciation was extended to Mr. Gholamreza Sheikh Akbari, Chairman of the Judges Committee of Iran, for assisting with smooth communication.
