With three months until the ISSF World Championship Shotgun in Athens, the medals for the competition have now been unveiled.

The most notable feature on the back side of the medals is the laurel branch - synonymous with ancient Greece and the Olympic Games, in the city where the first modern Games were hosted. It is a fitting nod to the tradition of organised sport as part of the Olympic Movement.

Surrounded by the laurel branch is a shooting target circle, representing our sport. It symbolises precision and focus -  two critical characteristics for athletes in this discipline. On the other side of the shooting target are small embossed dots representing the shotgun pellet spread. This emphasises the dynamism and technique required in the sport.

On the front of the medals is the ISSF logo, accompanied by the acronym "ISSF". On the back of the medal is the inscription "ISSF World Championship Shotgun" and "Athens 2025", circling around the laurel branch, shooting target and shotgun pellet spread.

Gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded to athletes across men's and women's trap and skeet competition, as well as mixed team trap too.

Delegations will arrive on the 8th of October, before departing on the 19th of October.
