Christian Elliott
Nation: United States
World Cup Ranking: 1
Qualification: ISSF World Cup gold (Buenos Aires)
Christian Elliott deservedly sits top of the World Cup rankings after a superb start to the season in the South American double-header. There, he won his first ISSF World Cup in the season opener in Buenos Aires, before following it up with a silver medal behind teammate Dustan Taylor in Lima.
While finishing 38th in Lonato was not of the same standard as his early season form, he has had some strong results in the past at ISSF World Championships - finishing fifth in Osijek in 2022 and 11th in Baku in 2023. Coming into his second ISSF World Cup Final, he will be hoping to show why the United States are enjoying a purple patch in skeet shooting.

Dustan Taylor
Nation: United States
World Cup Ranking: 5
Qualification: ISSF World Cup gold (Lima)
Dustan Taylor made his ISSF World Cup Final debut in Doha two years ago, finishing seventh. This year has proved to be a breakthrough for the 32-year-old who won his first ISSF World Cup gold, back in Lima.
Taylor finished 22nd in Buenos Aires before beating Christian Elliott to the title in Lima. He then focused on preparations for the USA Shooting Skeet National Championships, taking bronze behind Hayden Stewart and Vincent Hancock.
Unfortunately for him, he was not selected in the highly-competitive men's skeet team for the ISSF World Championship, meaning he has it all to prove in Doha - a chance to prove the doubters wrong.

Elia Sdruccioli
Nation: Italy
World Cup Ranking: 2
Qualification: ISSF World Cup gold (Nicosia)
Elia Sdruccioli levelled up in 2025, adding more success from a fruitful 2023.
The Italian secured his first ISSF World Cup podium two years ago in Cairo and signed off the season with bronze in the ISSF World Cup Final. He would not be selected for the ISSF World Championship squad that year after finishing a respectable 11th place in Osijek the previous year, which led to a team title.
The 2018 junior world champion started the 2025 season well with bronze in Buenos Aires, before skipping Lima. His moment to shine came in Nicosia. Three years earlier, he had won the team title with Italy in the same city, but this time was draped in gold on his lonesome - a new high for the now-27-year-old.
He has had two World Cup appearances this season and two podiums. Along with his podium the last time he was in Doha, it is a positive omen for him.

Vincent Hancock
Nation: United States
World Cup Ranking: 9
Qualification: ISSF World Cup gold (Lonato)
Easily in contention for the title of best skeet athlete of all time, Vincent Hancock started his season later than most in the last ISSF World Cup in Lonato - and showed he had no rust, winning the gold medal on his return.
The amount of athletes who can say they have won four Olympic gold medals in one event can be counted on your fingers, and at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Hancock joined that exclusive club that includes compatriots swimmer Katie Ledecky and long jumper Carl Lewis.
Hancock has been particularly selective in his competitions in more recent years and it has paid dividends. He has been selected for the ISSF World Championship ahead of the ISSF World Cup Final and will be looking for success in both - aiming to become a five-time world champion.
Despite his ridiculous amount of success, the one title still to elude him is the ISSF World Cup Final gold medal. The 36-year-old has qualified for the event seven times and has won the silver medal on six occasions.
Notably, Hancock's victory denied an opportunity for teammates top-10 athlete Adam McBee and World Championship representative Conner Prince to qualify through the World Cup rankings or the World Championship - as the United States now has the maximum of three athletes qualified in this event.

Tammaro Cassandro
Nation: Italy
World Cup Ranking: 38
Qualification: ISSF World Cup Title Defender
In New Delhi at the 2024 ISSF World Cup Final, Tammaro Cassandro won a dramatic men's skeet final in a head-to-head with compatriot Gabriele Rossetti to win the title on his third time of asking. It also guaranteed his spot in Doha in 2025.
While some are having a tremendous 2025, Cassandro will be seeking similar results he found in 2024. Not only did he win the World Cup Final, but he took gold at the ISSF World Cup in Rabat. On top of that, he narrowly missed the podium in the men's skeet at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, finishing fourth. He also finished fifth in the mixed team event.
Finishing 12th and 32nd at the Lima and Lonato ISSF World Cups respectively, 2025 had started slower than hoped, but a silver medal at the European Championships just last week shows he is capable of recapturing what he had last year.

Hector Flores Barahona
Nation: Chile
World Cup Ranking: 3
Qualification: World Cup rankings
Hector Flores Barahona has been the quietly solid contender this year - leading to his number three ranking and his spot in Doha.
The Chilean excelled in South America, finishing fourth in both Buenos Aires and Lima, just missing the opportunity to win his first ISSF World Cup medal individually. While he would not better his fifth place in Lonato last year, finishing 19th was a decent showing in a strong field.
It is set to be the 31-year-old's World Cup Final debut and having so often finished just outside the medals continentally and internationally, he will be hoping to end that misfortune in December.

Jakub Tomecek
Nation: Czechia
World Cup Ranking: 4
Qualification: World Cup rankings
Jakub Tomecek is hoping to heal the heartache of finishing fourth on his ISSF World Cup Final debut six years ago, as he returns to the Middle East.
That season he secured his best result to date when he finished third in Acapulco. It is his sole podium at the ISSF World Cup, but he twice came close this year.
While Flores finished fourth in the opening two events, Tomecek would just miss the podium in fourth in Nicosia and Lonato. Despite the lack of silverware, he has equally been consistent. He has competed in two World Cups this season and has made the final in both.
Aside from this, he is a two-time European champion and has a best finish at the Olympic Games of seventh, at Tokyo 2020.

Highest-ranked non-qualifiers still in contention: Daniel Korcak (Czechia), Han Xu (China), Henrik Jansson (Sweden).
