The International Shooting Sport Federation sends its sympathy and thoughts to the loved ones of Azerbaijan's Mirismayil Habibov, who has died at the age of 27.
Mr. Habibov passed away following a long battle with illness, according to the Azerbaijan Shooting Federation.
ISSF President Luciano Rossi, expressed his sorrow on behalf of our organisation: "We in the shooting sport family are saddened to hear of the untimely passing of Mirismayil Habibov from Azerbaijan, following a long struggle with illness.
"The ISSF extends our condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Habibov at this difficult time, and to the Azerbaijan Shooting Federation and wider shooting sport community in the country, affected by his death. May he rest in peace."
Mr. Habibov was an international athlete who represented his country at the 2023 European Shooting Championships in Tallinn, finishing 10th in the men's 10m air pistol team event.
