The line-ups for the ISSF World Cup Final will grow following the conclusion of the last leg of the 2025 ISSF World Cup Rifle/Pistol, in Ningbo, China.

Scheduled from September 8 to 14, competition takes place across 10 events - four individual rifle, four individual pistol, and two mixed team events for each discipline.

The hosts will bring a team of 32 athletes, including the undefeated Hu Kai, whose form has been incredibly this year as detailed in our Chinese athlete preview for Ningbo.

Sheng Lihao will be one of the favourites for the home team, off the back of his Olympic title in Chateauroux last year, and having followed that up with victory in Lima in the men's 10m air rifle final. AIN athlete Ilia Marsov, who won in Munich, will also compete in the discipline. Czech Jiri Privratsky - who won in the men's 50m rifle 3 positions in Lima - and his teammate Filip Nepejchal will fancy their chances of making the final too. Istvan Peni of Hungary is possibly the most versatile athlete above both distances and is always a consistent contender.

Asian medallists Park Ha-jun of the Republic of Korea and Lu Dingke of China are also entered, as are Norwegians Ole Martin Halvorsen and Jon-Hermann Hegg in both distances. Hegg won silver in the 10m event in Munich and gold in the 50m. Olympic silver medallist Victor Lindgren of Sweden will be looking to capture his form too. India's hopes in the men's 50m rifle 3 positions will lie with Swapnil Kusale.
Kwon Eun-ji will look to win the women's 10m air rifle in Ningbo
The women's 10m air rifle will see a new winner for the first time this season, with Wang Zifei not competing. Wang has won all three won World Cup golds so far, but some of the other finalists have travelled to Ningbo.

Kwon Eun-ji of the Republic of Korea is the most notable of these, having twice came runner-up to Wang. With no rematch between the two, Kwon will look even more likely to make the podium. While Audrey Gogniat is a notable Swiss name missing, the women's team continues to look like one of the strongest in the world. Olympic champions Nina Christen and Chiara Leone are entered.

Newly-crowned Asian silver medallist Peng Xinlu will hope to make it another victory for China, while new European champion Rikke Ibsen from Denmark goes in both the 10m air rifle and 50m rifle 3 positions events. Two-time World Cup winner Oceanne Muller from France and Germany's four-time World Cup winner Anna Janssen are entered for both disciplines too. Four-time Olympic finalist Jeanette Hegg Duestad of Norway will be one to watch too.

The men's pistol field includes Hu Kai, but also World Cup silver medallists Felipe Wu of Brazil and Anton Aristarkhov. Olympic silver and bronze medallists Federico Nilo Maldini and Paolo Monna are also expected to compete in Ningbo. The Italians are two of the standouts on the start list.
Hu Kai is looking to win all four ISSF World Cups this season in the men's 10m air pistol
In the men's 25m rapid fire pistol event, new Asian champion Su Lianbofan, who won silver on his World Cup debut, will be the home country's best hope for a gold. He will face stiff opposition from Czech athlete Matej Rampula, who defeated him for gold in Lima that day, as well as Tokyo 2020 champion and the gold medallist from Munich, Jean Quiquampoix of France.

Germany are buoyed by Munich silver and bronze medallists Florian Peter and Emanuel Mueller, as well as Christian Reitz, the Rio 2016 Olympic champion, who took bronze in Lima. AIN athlete Ivan Semenikhin will hope to make a final again like he did in Buenos Aires on his World Cup debut, while Italian Riccardo Mazzetti, who took silver in Buenos Aires, returns too.

With the absence of Suruchi Singh in the women's 10m air pistol event, a new 2025 winner will be crowned in Ningbo. China have a few contenders, including new Asian champion Ma Qianke, who will also compete in the 25m distance. In-form Yao Qianxun will look for her third World Cup podium of the season.

Camille Jedrzejewski, the Olympic silver medallist, will be versatile across 10m and 25m and will seek a double podium as part of her preparations for the ISSF World Championship. Sixth-ranked Shing Ho Ching from Hong Kong, is also entered.

Both women's pistol Olympic champions, Oh Ye-jin and Yang Ji-in, are also on the Korean team for Ningbo, making them amongst the favourites from the off. Serbia's Olympic mixed team gold medallist Zorana Arunovic will expect to make an impact, as will Olympic finalist Thu Vinh Trinh of Vietnam.

There are a total of 320 athletes from 42 National Federations entered for the ISSF World Cup in Ningbo, and information and results from the event can be found here.
