ISSF Secretary General Alessandro Nicotra di San Giacomo has visited Olympic House to hold important talks with the International Olympic Committee, continuing the commitment of good governance within our organisation.
This open discussion saw both parties suggest revisions to the ISSF Constitution, to improve the alignment of the ISSF within the Olympic Movement.
He said he was pleased with both parties' cooperation, showing the relationship with the IOC continues to strengthen, built on trust and a willingness to put sport first in our decision-making.
Alessandro Nicotra di San Giacomo said: "We will always welcome feedback on how the ISSF can better its governance structure and in turn, better serve our shooting sport family by harvesting a culture of trust and transparency.
"We will now consider these recommendations and provide amendments to our Constitution for our members to vote on. I would like to thank the International Olympic Committee for their professionalism as our organisations continue to work in tandem on behalf of the sport's best interests."
The Secretary General would then attend the Association of Summer Olympic International Federations (ASOIF) Commercial Workshop at Hotel de la Paix in Lausanne. The morning started with opening remarks by ASOIF President Ingmar de Vos.
Hospitality was a key interest in the earlier sessions that studies its role within the Olympic Games, as well as its place outside of VIP areas. The Secretary General also learned from industry experts regarding new approaches to ticketing, branding and media rights.
