In a bid to provide our Local Organising Committees the best preparations for hosting ISSF events, we can confirm the release of our competition calendars for 2027 and 2028.
It provides organisers up to three years to develop their plans as hosts - part of the ISSF's goal to ensure events are of the highest quality throughout the season.
Most notable of these are the 2027 ISSF World Championship Shotgun in Cairo, Egypt, from 23 September to 2 October 2027 and the ISSF World Championship Rifle/Pistol in Daegu, Republic of Korea from 28 October to 9 November 2027.
The 2027 ISSF Junior World Championship Shotgun will take place in Larnaca, Cyprus, from 7 to 16 May 2027; followed by the 2027 ISSF Junior World Championship Rifle/Pistol in Sichuan, China from 19 to 29 November 2027.
Much like in 2024, the ISSF World Cup circuit will conclude before the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games, which is set to see shooting sport take place from 14 to 30 July 2028. The last legs of the ISSF World Cup prior to that will take place in Lonato for shotgun from 28 May to 7 June and Munich for rifle and pistol from 11 to 18 June respectively.
Dates for the 2027 ISSF World Cup Final, which is set to take place in Daegu, Republic of Korea, will be announced in due course, as well as the hosts and dates for the 2028 ISSF World Cup Final.
